Cookies: Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device with the aid of the browser. They do no cause any harm. We use cookies to make our offering user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit us. If you do not want this, then you can set up your browser in such a manner that it informs you when cookies are set and so that you allow this only on a case-by-case basis. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of our website can be limited.

Automated data processing on our website: When you visit our website, certain data is automatically stored for system administration, statistical or backup purposes. This data may include the name of your internet service provider, your IP address, the version of your browser software, the operating system of the computer used to access our website, the website from which you visit us, the pages of our website that you visit and, if applicable, search terms that you used to find our website. This automatically collected data may, under certain circumstances, allow conclusions to be drawn about a specific visitor to the website. The use of such data is exclusively anonymous. Further information can be found under "Google Analytics".

Google Analytics with anonymisation function

Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics from the company Google Inc., headquartered at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA ("Google"). To do this, cookies are used that enable an analysis of the use of the website.

The information generated through these cookies, e.g. time, location and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is sent to Google in the USA and stored there. You can prevent the installation of cookies through appropriate settings of your browser software. However we expressly state that, in this case, it is possible that not all functions of our website can be used to their full extent.

On our website, we use Google Analytics with an IP anonymisation function. In this case, your IP address is already shortened and made anonymous by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. This only allows for a rough localization.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports about the website activities for us, and to provide other services relating to use of the website and Internet use. Google may also pass this information on to third parties, provided that this is prescribed by law or if third parties are processing this data by order of Google. According to Google's own statements, Google will not, under any circumstances, associate your IP address with other Google data.

Moreover, Google offers a deactivation option for the most popular browsers that gives you more control over what data is collected and processed by Google. If you activate this option, no information relating to your visit to this website will be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, activation does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or other web analysis services that we may use. Additional information concerning the deactivation option provided by Google and the activation of this option is provided via the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Our concern as stipulated in the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offering and of our website. Because the privacy of our users is important, the user data is pseudonymised. The user data will be stored for 26 months.

Google Adwords

In addition to advertise our website, we use the Google advertising tool "Google AdWords". In this regard, we use the analysis service "Conversion Tracking" by Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter "Google" on our website. If you have reached our website via a Google ad, a cookie will be placed on your computer. Cookies are small text files that your Internet browser places and stores on your computer. These so-called "conversion cookies" lose their validity after 30 days and can no longer be used to identify you personally. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can identify that you as a user have clicked on one of our ads placed with Google and that you have been redirected to a website.

Google uses the information obtained via the "conversion cookies" to prepare visit statistics for our website. Using the statistics, we learn the total number of users that have clicked on our ad, and, in addition, which pages of our website have subsequently been accessed by the respective user. However, we or other companies that advertise via "Google AdWords" do not obtain any information whatsoever with which users can be personally identified.

You can prevent installation of the "conversion cookies" through an appropriate setting in your browser, e.g. the browser setting that deactivates automatic setting of any cookies, or that only blocks the cookies from the domain "googleadservices.com".

The cookies do not contain any personally identifiable data. However, it should be noted that Google considers data such as "pseudonymous cookie IDs" (name or other identifier is replaced by a pseudonym) or IP addresses as non-personally identifiable information. However, under the GDPR, these data may be considered personal data. Google AdSense sends a cookie to the browser after every impression (this is always the case when you see an ad), every click and every other activity that leads to a call to the Google AdSense servers. If the browser accepts the cookie, it will be stored there. Furthermore, Google AdSense additionally uses web beacons, invisible graphics that enable Google to analyse clicks on this website, traffic on this website and similar information.

The information obtained via cookies and web beacons, your IP address and the delivery of advertising formats are transmitted to a Google server located in the USA and stored there. Google may share this collected information with third parties if required to do so by law or if Google contracts with third parties to process the data. However, Google will merge your IP address with the other stored data. By making the appropriate settings on your internet browser, you can prevent the abovementioned cookies from being stored on your computer. However, this may mean that the contents of this website can no longer be used to the same extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Based on the data transmitted to the respective service via the social plugins, the service may be able to assign you to your account with them. In order to increase the protection of your data on our website, the social plugins are integrated on our website using the so-called "2-click solution".
